Community Engagement
We’re committed to strengthening Western Australian communities and creating meaningful employment opportunities through our work around the state.
Aboriginal Engagement
Turtle Traffic is committed to building respectful, lasting relationships with Aboriginal communities. We recognise the cultural heritage of Traditional Owners and actively create pathways for Aboriginal people to participate in our projects and workforce. This includes direct employment, partnerships with Aboriginal-owned businesses, and consulting with cultural advisors to ensure we respect and include First Nations perspectives in our projects.
Aboriginal engagement is not a standalone initiative. It’s integral to our operations, enabling us to deliver solutions that build on millennia of knowledge to benefit our industry and the communities we serve.
Investing in the Future of WA
Community engagement shapes how we work and the outcomes we target. By employing locally, investing in green initiatives, championing a diverse workforce and collaborating with project partners to reduce resource use, we strengthen communities across Perth and regional WA.
We Work for WA
Western Australia is facing skills shortages in essential industries and remote regions. Providing career development opportunities in traffic management, working in industries like mining, civil construction, infrastructure, events and transport, directly contributes to a stronger state economy.
We Invest in Our People
Our strength comes from an engaged and diverse workforce that’s engaged and supported. We go out of our way to create a supportive and harmonious work environment where everyone is respected.
We Protect Our State’s Future
Our sustainability efforts – including solar batteries, paperless processes, renewable energy use and EV fleet investments are tied to a Net Zero 2035 target. Every step towards more sustainable operations benefits future generations.
Community Engagement in Action
As we’ve grown, we’ve embedded community engagement into daily operations to ensure we don’t lose sight of our commitments.
- Hiring without judgement to create meaningful work opportunities.
- Donating (skills, money and materials) to charities and local causes.
- Working towards Targeting Net Zero carbon emissions by 2035.
- Encouraging clients and partners to reduce fuel, water and power use.
Stronger Outcomes for Everyone
Proactive and purposeful community engagement delivers benefits for all stakeholders. By hiring locally talent, fostering respect in the workplace and championing sustainability outcomes, we help clients and partners achieve their own ESG goals. Working with Turtle Traffic means contributing to projects that deliver lasting benefits to Western Australian communities and the environment.
